Clinical Reference Group Report on the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill

The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill (TIA Bill), reintroduced by Lauren Edwards MP, will have its Second Reading in the House of Commons on 11 September. After the House of Lords prevented the TIA Bill from becoming law in the previous session, several parliamentarians with clinical backgrounds came together, under the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Choice at the End of Life, to explore arguments in the debates.

This report captures their findings and seeks to provide MPs and peers with clinical information that, in their view, has too often been neglected in debates, and to clarify misunderstandings and address well-meaning but misplaced concerns.
